Zombie Apocolypse – Here We Come

I’ll admit it, I’m one of the crazies. Not the crazy that go around eating peoples faces, but rather the kind of crazy that looks at that situation and begins stocking up on bottled water and canned food since this is a sure sign that zombies are taking over our planet. Okay, maybe I’m not THAT crazy, but I think I would be lying if I said that there is absolutely zero chance that we could have a viral outbreak that forces humans to do insane, malicious, horrible, man-eating things? That being said even this product is a little over the top for me, but hey! Better safe then sorry, am I right?

Always shoot for the head.

Of course, you should wait until the actual zombie apocalypse starts before firing.

Bullets said to be made specifically for zombie eradication are here, and they’re allegedly selling like hotcakes — or, hot, oozing brains if you’re undead.

When “Zombie Apocalypse” became a media obsession — reanimated, in part by a spate of cannibalistic attacks — the Hornady company snapped into action and came up with the perfect plan. They rebranded one of their bullets, slapped a green tip on it, and fancied it up with creepy packaging.

Voila: Z-Max bullets are designed to “make dead permanent,” according to the Detroit company’s website.

NOTE: This ammo isn’t a toy kiddies, it’s real. Be careful when using any live ammunition and use proper safety gear. Also, zombies are not real, the CDC has told The Huffington Post.

Yeah, it’s gimmicky, but it’s not just catering to gun aficionados. People are buying the ammo for its packaging alone.

“We decided just to have some fun with a marketing plan that would allow us to create some ammunition designed for that … fictional world,” Hornady spokesman Everett Deger told WWJ Newsradio. “This is probably one of the only (product) launches that we’ve seen when people who are not in the hunting and shooting industry will go out and they purchase this.”

Reviewers, who recreated a bullet ripping through zombie flesh, aren’t super impressed with the Z-max bullet in terms of practicality. One man even says that the Z-max ammo has the exact same specifications as the same company’s Critical Defense ammo.

But who cares? There’s nothing better than an awesome — and awesome looking — zombie defense kit. Only $83-170 per box of 500 rounds.
